First, view age as an advantage rather than a detriment. After all, the longer we remain on this side of heaven, the more experience we have on which to draw. Second and equally important, trust God for guidance and reassurance. When He inspires us to travel down a specific road, He always walks with us and carries us when the journey becomes difficult.
I must chuckle. My preparation for ministry is from the School of Hard Knocks. If there is an easy route to learn a lesson, I'll walk right by and find the circuitous path. The good thing about all those uncomfortable lessons is that I experience and learn. So, when I speak or write, I can pretty much cover a lot of ways to not walk that faith journey. Even more importantly, to demonstrate the loving kindness of our Heavenly Father.
I am thrilled to introduce you to my editor of over ten years, Bev Nault. Bev is an amazing writer, editor, and now she is a screenwriter. She just keeps adding on accomplishments in her winter season.
The last thing I ever expected was to be an author. All of these ugly circumstances have been central to my ministry. Early on, I knew as much as it's possible to know, Esther's life, illness, and death would launch me into writing and sharing how God's love is real even unto death. It has become central to my ministry.

I've learned that God will give us as much of Himself as we are willing to receive. He said in Jeremiah 29:13 that when we seek Him with all of our hearts, He would be found by us; but He wants us to seek Him; He wants us to make Him the thing we're striving after, and when we do, He draws closer and opens our eyes to see more and more of Himself.
